Million dollar idea

Have you ever had an idea, for quite a long time, that you were quite excited about, but you never invested the time and sweat to actually implement it? Then in a few months you see someone makes world success on the same freakin' idea! Then you are all like: "Darn that could've been me! I should've been rich nao!". Well, I bet many of us were in a similar situation.
A good and original idea is right about the most important thing in the industry.  Well, almost. The sole idea is definitely not enough. Timing is the key. And of course the execution. And marketing. And who knows what else...
So yeah, don't despair. Even if you did choose to work on the idea, most probably you would do something wrong along the way and wouldn't achieve the same success. That sounds discouraging, but it's true. You can't expect success on the first try, but its the only way towards there. That's at least how I see it.
Either way, I decided it's definitely time to stop watching those ideas fly by. Even if it fails badly, at least I tried, and did my best. If I decide to work on something, I am going to give 100% of myself, so I can't regret anything if it fails. I just couldn't do any better, so no reason to feel bad. Finish it, learn from it and move on to the next one.
Don't wanna sound like a Disney movie narrator, but you just have to put yourself out there and try, it may seem scary at first, but you definitely won't succeed if you don't even try. Take risks. Fail. Learn from mistakes. Learn from other people. Meet new people. Repeat.
I heard someone say: "The best things I've done in life, were the things that terrified me the most at first." And I realized that also applies to me. That really gives me courage for the future.

Take care.
